Overtime: Time and one-half for all work performed on 7th consecutive evening or night shift. Double time for all work on the 8th consecutive evening or night shift. Meal allowance: $6 after 3 hours overtime. Sick leave: 2 days earned per month. AD&D: Benefit equal to 2 times employee's annual salary to a maximum of $1 million. Life insurance: The employer will pay 50% of the premiums and the employees will pay 50% of the premiums. Benefit equal to 2 times employee's annual salary rounded to the nearest $1,000 to a maximum of $1 million. Bereavement leave: 3 days for employee's mother, father, brother, sister, child, spouse, common-law spouse, legal guard- ian, grandmother, grandfather, grandchild, mother-in-law, fa- ther-in-law or near relative living in the same household. 1 day for employee's son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law or sister-in-law. 4 days when the death of a relative occurs outside the province. Additional 2 days for extraordinary circumstances. Seniority – recall rights: 2 years. Call-in pay: At least 3 hours at time and one-half. Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months. Severance: An employee with 9 or more years of service is entitled to severance equal to 1 weeks salary for every year of service to a maximum of 20 weeks pay. Uniforms/clothing: Employer provides protective clothing including 3 new lab coats per year. Employer launders safety clothing free of charge.
