Wage adjustments: Effective Jan. 1, 2015: 2% Effective Jan. 1, 2016: 2.5% Shift premium: $2.50 per hour for instructional drivers while training. Paid holidays: 11 days. Double time for first 8 hours worked on a named holiday, triple time for the 9th and 10th hour worked on a named holiday, quadruple time for 11th and 12th hours. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 9 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 6 weeks after 21 years. Effective Jan. 1, 2015: $2.30 per hour. Effective Jan. 1, 2015: $2.45 per hour. Bereavement leave: 3 days for parent, spouse, brother, sister, child, parent-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, stepchildren, legal guardian, grandparents, spouse's grandparents or grand- children. Given 24 hours' notice, employee may take 1 day un- paid leave to attend any other funeral. Seniority – recall rights: 1 year. 18 months if employee has ac- crued at least 5 years of seniority. Call-in pay: 10-hour guarantee: Employee who has been called in for duty and starts trip is guaranteed minimum 10 hours' work or pay in lieu. If no work is available, employee receives minimum 5 hours' pay at straight time rates. 5-hour guarantee: If employee reports to work as scheduled and no work is pro- vided, employee receives minimum 5 hours' pay, unless notified otherwise 2 hours prior. Probationary period: 3 months. Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year. Uniforms/clothing: Coveralls, chemical-protective clothing and equipment provided by employer. Employees provide suitable clothing, gloves, shoes, protective winter clothing to perform job appropriately. Sample rates of pay, current: Drivers: 5-axle: $24.58 per hour, 35.43¢ per kilometre 6-axle: $24.58, 35.85¢ per km 7-axle: $24.58, 36.31¢ per km 8-axle: $24.58, 36.74¢ per km Editor's notes: Compassionate care: Employees requesting leave of absence for compassionate care reasons shall not be unrea- sonably denied. Reclassifying: Employees unable to perform job duties as a result of health reasons will be reclassified into an- other position. Accidents: If employee cannot carry out duties as a result of an accident, they will be paid full day's wages. Wait time: Up to 10 hours' pay for each 20-hour period em- ployee spends waiting to load or unload trucks, equipment to be repaired, roads to be cleared. Expenses: Company provides credit card to be used to cover truck maintenance or other busi- ness related to job duties.
