Signed on Nov. 29, 2013. Wage adjustments: Effective upon ratification: $1,400 signing bonus Effective July 1, 2014: 2% Effective July 1, 2015: 3% Shift premium: $20.40 for each 8-hour standby shift and $30.60 for each 12-hour standby shift. Paid holidays: 9 days. Overtime: Time and one-half. Meal allowance: $43.70 per day when travelling inside the province. $50.20 when travel- ling outside the province and in the United States. Sick leave: 7.5 hours for each 162.5 hours of service for employees hired after July 1, 2006. 15 hours for each 162.5 hours of service for all other employees. AD&D: Benefit equal to double employee's annual sal- ary, subject to a minimum of $10,000 and a maximum of $1 million. Life insurance: Employer pays 50% of the premium. Benefit equal to double employee's annual salary, subject to a mini- mum of $10,000 and a maxi- mum of $1,000,000. Bereavement leave: 22.5 hours for employee's mother, father, brother, sister, child, spouse, common-law spouse, parents of common-law spouse, legal guardian, grand- parent, grandchild, father-in- law, mother-in-law or near relative living in the same household. 7.5 hours for em- ployee's son-in-law, daughter- in-law, brother-in-law or sister-in-law. An additional 15 hours may be awarded in spe- cial circumstances. Seniority – recall rights: 2 years. Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours at applicable overtime rate. Probationary period: 90 days. Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months. Severance: Employees with at least 9 years of continuous service are eligible for sever- ance pay equal to the amount obtained by multiplying the number of completed years of employment by his/her weekly salary to a maximum of 20 weeks pay. Uniforms/clothing: $175 for uniforms. Protective clothing provided by the employer. Any clothing damaged in the course of the employee's duties not due to his/her carelessness will be repaired or replaced at the em- ployer's cost.
