Pension: 3% of earnings con- tributed by employer into RRSP. Bereavement leave: 5 days for the death of a child, parent, sibling, spouse, fiancé. 3 days for the death of a grandparent, guardian, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, grandchild, parent-in- law, sibling-in-law. 1 day for the death of a person with whom the employee had a special re- lationship. Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours' pay at prevailing rate. $300 for team leaders per week when on on-call duty. Additional $50 on a statutory holiday. Probationary period: 6 months. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years given that no further dis- cipline has occurred. Mileage: 50¢ per km for ap- proved travel. Sample rates of pay, current: Community support worker: $17.45 per hour to start, rising after 5 years to $20.23 Team leader I (no degree): $20.99 to start, rising after 5 years to $24.34 Team leader I (relevant degree or diploma): $21.62, rising after 5 years to $25.07 Team leader II: $23.64, rising after 5 years to $27.40 Secretary-receptionist: $16.18, rising after 5 years to $18.77 Administrative secretary-re- ceptionist: $20.38, rising after 5 years to $23.63 Editor's notes: Cost of living: Employees whose hourly wages exceed salary grid shall receive cost of living increase of 2% on their seniority date. TRANSPORTATION Mantei's Transport Calgary, Edmonton and Regina (120 truck drivers) and the Petro Chem Drivers Association Renewal agreement: Effective Dec. 28, 2014, to Dec. 24, 2016. Signed on Jan. 8, 2015. Wage adjustments: Effective Dec. 27, 2015: 3.5% Effective upon ratification: Ad- ditional 10¢ per hour on each employee's anniversary date, 15¢ per hour on every 5th an- niversary. Shift premium: $1 for urban truck designations. $1 for U.S. truck designations. $5 per hour for ice, off-road deliveries. $3 per hour for night shifts. $1 per hour for U.S. deliveries. $1 per hour for mine deliveries. $1 per hour for city deliveries. $6.25 for training, $5 for driver coaches. $15 flat rate for tractor washing, $20 for tractor and semi wash- ing, $25 for tractor and train washing. Paid holidays: 9 days. Time and one-half for all hours worked on a statutory holiday. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks af- ter 1 year, 3 weeks after 6 years, 4 weeks after 12 years, 5 weeks after 16 years, 6 weeks after 20 years. No more than 2 weeks may be taken between June 21 and Sept. 20 (summer months). Overtime: Time and one-half in excess of 60 hours per week for highway drivers; in excess of 45 hours per week for urban drivers. 15-minute pre and post trip inspections paid. Medical benefits: Health and dental coverage at 80% for the first 2 years of employment, 100% thereafter. Employees may opt out if there is existing coverage with a spouse. Life and disability coverage mandatory. No other details available. Pension: Employer to match employee's contributions as fol- lows: Up to 3% of salary during the first 3 years of employment, up to 4% of salary from the 4th to 9th year of employment, up to 5% after 10 years of employ- ment. 50% will be matched to employee's RRSP account each month. Accidents: A fact-finding investigation must be conducted before any permanent disciplinary action can be taken by the company in the case of an accident or incident. EDUCATION Northern Alberta Institute of Technology Edmonton (1,140 instructors, librarians and educational services employees) and the NAIT Academic Staff Association Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2013, to June 30, 2017. Wage adjustments: Effective July 1, 2013: $1,850 lump-sum payment Effective June 30, 2014: 2.5% Effective July 1, 2014: $1,500 lump-sum payment Effective June 29, 2015: 2.5% Shift premium: Supervision allowance: 5% of instructor's top rate for Leader I. 10% of instructor's top rate for Leader II. Degree allowance: 5% of maximum instructor rate for doctoral degree. 4.5% of maxi- mum instructor rate for mas- ter's degree. 3.5% of maximum instructor rate for post-bacca- laureate professional degree or designation. Paid holidays: 8 days, plus 2 days designated in February as preparation days and at least 11 consecutive days during the Christmas period (including Dec. 24, Jan. 1). Vacations with pay: Librarians: 5 weeks after 1 year, 6 weeks after 6 years, 7 weeks after 11 years. Instructors and coun- sellors: Up to 1.7 days per pay period, calculated in direct pro- portion to time worked in each pay period.
