Paid holidays: 10 days. Vacations with pay: 9% holi- day pay for all jobs worked. Overtime: Time and one- half for all stevedoring work performed after 8 hours dur- ing the week. Time and one- half for all stevedoring work performed on Saturday and Sunday and double time for stevedoring work performed beyond 8 hours on Saturday and Sunday. Meal allowance: Suitable lunch or 1 hour of pay at straight time provided to workers required to stay out after 10 p.m. Bereavement leave: 4 days for employee's spouse, father, mother, brother, sister, son or daughter. 1 day for employee's father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, stepparent, uncle, aunt or grandchild. Seniority – recall rights: 1 year unless on an approved leave of absence. 2 years re- gardless of leave of absence. Uniforms/clothing: Employer provides rubber boots, rain gear, gloves, goggles and dust masks where necessary. The employer supplies coveralls on a 50% cost sharing basis. Sample rates of pay, current: Stevedores: $23.50 per hour Freight handlers: $23.50 Lines persons: $23.50 Editor's notes: Running lines: A full gang (4 employees for small ships and 6 employees for large ships) will be pro- vided in all cases. Hatches: Gangs will be given 15 minutes to cover up hatches. Offshore exploration: The number of employees required to work offshore supply vessels will be determined by both parties to the collective agreement. Where additional workers are required, the employer supervisor has the right to order out extra workers. Loading trucks: A minimum of 4 employees will be used when loading or unloading trucks except where palletized or pack- aged cargoes are handled. TRANSPORTATION Services d'Administration P.C.R. Rougemont, Que. (27 truck drivers) and the Fédération de l'Industrie Manufacturière Renewal agreement: Effec- tive Dec. 20, 2014, to Dec. 19, 2017. Signed on Dec. 20, 2014. Paid holidays: 10 days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks to start, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 11 years and 5 weeks after 20 years. Bereavement leave: 4 days for employee's spouse, father, mother or child. 3 days for em- ployee's father-in-law, mother- in-law, brother or sister. 1 day for employee's brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent or grandchild. Seniority – recall rights: 1 year. Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year. Uniforms/clothing: Employer provides the necessary uni- form. In the employee's first year, a uniform will be pro- vided. In subsequent years, the employer will provide $250 for the purchase of uniforms. Editor's notes: Loss of licence: If an employee who has completed probation loses his licence for a period not exceed- ing 1 year, that employee will be considered on unpaid leave. Employees will not accumulate seniority during this time but will maintain the seniority already accumulated. Accidents: Employees are not responsible for accidents unless they are found to have been negligent. Loss or damage: Employees are not responsible for the loss or damage or cargo unless they are found to have been negligent. Birth or adoption: 1 paid day for the birth or adoption of em- ployee's child. GOVERNMENT Prince Edward Island Department of Health and Safety Provincewide, Prince Edward Island (840 non-medical employees) and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Locals 805, 1051, 1778 and 1779 Renewal agreement: Effec- tive April 1, 2013, to March 31, 2017. Signed on Dec. 4, 2014. Paid holidays: 12 days. Vacations with pay: 1 1/4 days per month of service to start, 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 5 years, 5 weeks after 15 years and 6 weeks after 25 years. Overtime: Time and one-half. Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premium for the Group Medical and Dental Plan. Participation is on a vol- untary basis. Sick leave: 1.5 days per month worked to a maximum of 215 days. LTD: All permanent employ- ees will participate in the LTD plan. Permanent part-time employees will receive benefits and pay premiums on a pro rata basis. Life insurance: Employer pays 50% of premiums for the Group Life Insurance Plan. Employees will be insured for a minimum of $40,000. Bereavement leave: 4 days for employee's parent, steppar- ent, guardian, foster parent, spouse, child or stepchild. 3 days for employee's brother, stepbrother, sister, stepsister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent or grandchild. Seniority – recall rights: 18 months. Call-in pay: Triple time for the first hour and the appli- cable overtime rate thereafter. Probationary period: 487.5 hours worked. Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year. Severance: Severance pay calculated at 75 hours for each 1,950 hours of continuous service to a maximum of 975 hours.
