Wage adjustments: Pick up and delivery drivers Effective 2016: 35¢ Effective 2017: 35¢ Dedicated straight truck driv- ers Effective 2016: 28¢ Effective 2017: 28¢ Dock personnel Effective 2016: 35¢ Effective 2017: 30¢ Calculated by CLR. Shift premium: $18.15 per hour for any waiting time at a customer location in excess of 30 minutes. $18.50 effective 2016. $18.85 effective 2017. $1 per hour for lead hands. Paid holidays: 9 days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year and 3 weeks after 5 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked beyond 60 hours per week. Life insurance: Employer pays 60% of premiums. Bereavement leave: 3 days for employee's spouse, child, parent, sibling, grandparent, grandchild, brother, sister, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, spouse's parent or spouse's sibling. Seniority – recall rights: 18 months. Probationary period: 60 days worked from the date of hire, exclusive of sick time, paid hol- idays, personal days of leaves of absences. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years. Safety shoes: $75 per year for the purchase of CAS approved rubber-type sole, green patch work shoes or boots. Uniforms/clothing: Employer provides high visibility vests. Mileage: 28¢ per km. Sample rates of pay, current: Pick up and delivery drivers: $18.15 per hour Dedicated straight truck driv- ers: $14.69 Dock personnel: $15.44 Editor's notes: Initiation fee: The employer will deduct the amount equal to the union's initiation fee in instalments of $25 per pay period after the completion of the probation period. Jury duty: Employee will be compensated based on his regular scheduled hours at his regular straight time hourly rate less the fee received for his services as a juror for a period not to exceed 5 working days. Child care leave: Granted in accordance with the provisions of the Canada Labour Code. Maternity leave: Granted in accordance with federal legislation. Parental leave: Granted in accordance with federal legislation. Drug and alcohol testing: $25 flat rate when drivers are required to attend drug and alcohol testing. Fast card: $50 one-time reimbursement. EDUCATION Board of Governors of Acadia University Wolfville, N.S. Dental: Employer pays 80% of premium costs. 80% coverage for basic procedures. 75% cov- erage for major procedures. 75% coverage for orthodontics to a maximum of $3,000 life- time maximum per child. Life insurance: Coverage ex- tended to age 76, continuing on a 10% declining scale from age 66-76. Employees are entitled to freedom from institutional censorship. Intellectual property: All intellectual property is owned by the employee who solely creates it except where there is a written contract to the contrary assigning the ownership rights of the intellectual property to the employer or a third party. Employees retain ownership of class notes, lectures and other materials they have solely created pertaining to their course development and teaching. Office hours: Employ- ees will be available for consultation with students for at least 2 hours per week for each 3-hour credit course to a maximum of 6 hours per week. Family leave: A combination of maternity and parental leave. Maximum 52 weeks. Maternity leave: 17 weeks. Retirement incentive: Employees who retire on the first day of July following their 65 birth- day will receive a $40,000 retirement incentive payment.
