Paid holidays: 12 days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 2 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 5 years, 5 weeks after 12 years, 6 weeks after 20 years and 7 weeks after 28 years. Overtime: Overtime for all hours worked beyond 7.5 hours per day or 75 hours per pay period. Meal allowance: $5 after 3 hours of overtime. Medical benefits: $375 maxi- mum for chiropractor services. Dental: Employer pays 75% of premiums. Life insurance: Employer pays 90% of premiums. Bereavement leave: 4 days for employee's spouse, child or parent. 3 days for employee's brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, brother-in-law or sister-in-law. 1 day for em- ployee's uncle, aunt, nephew or niece. Seniority – recall rights: 4 years. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours at regular rate of pay. Probationary period: 225 hours worked. Uniforms/clothing: Em- ployees are not required to purchase or replace uniforms unless negligence is proven. Tool allowance: Employees are not required to purchase or replace tools unless negligence is proven. Medical benefits: Employer pays 75% of premiums for the Province of New Brunswick Blue Cross Health Plan. Dental: Employer pays 50% of premiums for the existing basic dental plan. Sick leave: 1 1/2 days per month to a maximum of 240 days. Life insurance: Employer maintains Province of New Brunswick Group Life Insur- ance Program. Basic coverage is equal to employee's annual salary. Pension: The Certain Bar- gaining Employees Shared Risk Pension Plan continues to be in effect. Seniority – recall rights: 1 year. Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours at time and one-half. Probationary period: 750 hours worked. Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months. Sample rates of pay (current, after 0.5% increase): Registered nurse Class A: $30.47 rising in 6 steps to $38.60 Registered nurse Class B: $32.51 rising in 5 steps to $39.58 Registered nurse Class C: $33.31 rising in 5 steps to $40.53 Registered nurse Class D: $41.86 rising in 5 steps to $50.92 Editor's notes: Maternity leave: 17 weeks. Child care leave: 35 weeks. Retirement age: The normal retirement age is 65. Employees can retire at 55 without loss of retirement benefits. Retention period: Employees with 25 years of active registration as a registered nurse and written confirmation from the employer will receive an adjustment of 3% to the employee's regular rate of pay.
