The labour action was organized by the Common Front, a coalition of several public sector unions. The unions collaborated to organize rotating strikes across the province, with further labour action scheduled if nego- tiations fail to move forward. Public sector workers in the province have been without a contract since April 1. The Secrétariat Intersyndical des Services Publics (SISP), Confédération des Syndicats Nationaux (CSN) and Fédération des Tra- vailleurs et Travailleuses du Québec (FTQ) represent more than 400,000 public sector employees. The unions launched a week's worth of one-day rotating strikes across the prov- ince on Oct. 26. Essential services were Caught on candid camera A BUS OPERATOR for the Cor- poration of the City of Niagara Falls was suspended for three days without pay after it was discov- ered he obstructed the security camera on his bus, handled cash and used a hand-held device while behind the wheel. Ken Kissmann's behaviour came to light after a passenger contacted the employer about a slip-and-fall accident in Novem- ber 2014. The employer checked its hard-drive but by that time the video for the date of the accident had been over-written by more re- cent recordings. The employer did notice, how- ever, the available footage showed Kissmann tampering with the TRANSPORTATION TNT Express Dorval, Que.
