Bereavement leave: 5 days for the death of an employee's wife, husband, mother, father, broth- er, sister, son or daughter. 2 days for the death of an employee's grandparent, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandchild, sis- ter-in-law, brother-in-law, son- in-law or daughter-in-law. Probationary period: 3 months. Uniforms/clothing: Up to $500 per year for the purchase of safety boots, tools or work- wear. Unclaimed allowance will not carry forward. Up to $400 per year for employees with less than 3 years of service. Tool allowance: All tradesmen to supply their own hand tools. Consumable items, such as drill bits, to be replaced as needed by employer. Up to $500 made available as interest-free loan from employer for employees to purchase tools, repaid through paycheck reduction of $25 per pay period. Mileage: Free travel zone for all jobs inside GTA, including Toronto, York and Peel regions, Durham and Halton. When travel for a job is required be- yond the free zone, and 50 km beyond employee's residence, employer and union to meet and discuss appropriate travel pay. Sample rates of pay, current: Senior licensed journeyman: $36.96 per hour Electrician licensed journey- man: $34.72 Editor's notes: Special union funds: 19¢ per hour per employee contributed to union education fund. 15¢ per hour per employee contributed to union industry fund. TRANSPORTATION Leigh Hanson Canada Edmonton (Truck drivers) and the Teamsters Local 362 Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2014, to Dec. 31, 2016. Wage adjustments: Effective Jan. 1, 2014: 2% Effective Jan. 1, 2015: 2% Effective Jan. 1, 2016: 2% Calculated by CLR. Shift premium: $8 per hour for drivers who assist in training new employees. $1.50 per hour for lead hand. $1.75 per hour for shifts starting between noon and 5 a.m. Paid holidays: 11 days. Double time for all hours worked on a named holiday. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks to start, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 12 years, 5 weeks after 20 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for the first 4 hours of over- time, double time for all hours worked in excess of 12 per day. Time and one-half for first 10 hours of overtime on a Satur- day, double time for all subse- quent hours. Double time for all hours worked on a Sunday. Meal allowance: $15 when an employee is required to work 12 hours or more. Pension: Employer contributes $3.95 per hour worked into em- ployee's retirement plan, effec- tive Jan. 1, 2012. $4.30 per hour effective Jan. 1, 2014. $4.65 per hour effective Jan. 1, 2015. $5 per hour effective Jan. 1, 2016. Bereavement leave: 3 days for the death of an immediate fam- ily member. That includes em- ployee's spouse, mother, father, sons, daughters, sisters, broth- ers, mother-in-law, father-in- law, grandfather, grandmother, grandchildren, grandmother- in-law, grandfather-in-law, stepson and stepdaughter. Seniority – recall rights: 1 year. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' pay if employee is able to start work, minimum 2 hours' pay if there is no work available after employee is called in. Licence renewal: Up to $170 reimbursement for medical and or licence renewal. MINING KMC Mining Edmonton (480 mine employees) and the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 955 Renewal agreement: Effective July 26, 2015, to April 30, 2020. Time and one-half for all hours worked on a named holiday. Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of 8 per day or 40 per week. Pension: 10% contribution ef- fective upon ratification. Bereavement leave: 3 days for the death of an immediate fam- ily member including employ- ee's mother, father, grandmoth- er, grandfather, brother, sister, spouse, common-law partner, children, mother-in-law, father- in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in- law and grandchildren. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' pay at applicable rate or actual hours worked, whichever is greater. Safety shoes: Up to $225 per year at 10¢ earned per hour worked. Tool allowance: $1 per hour for journeyman mechanics and apprentice mechanics. Sample rates of pay, current (base wage, not including $15 toward a meal when an employee is required to work 12 hours and beyond
