Signed on May 1, 2015. Wage adjustments: Lump sum of $600 Effective Jan. 1, 2015: 1% Effective June 1, 2015: 1.75% Effective June 1, 2016: 2% Effective June 1, 2017: 2% Effective June 1, 2018: 1% Shift premium: $1.20 per hour for all time worked on an off-normal tour. $1.80 per hour for all time worked on an off-normal tour that falls be- tween 12:01 a.m. and 5:59 a.m. Time and one-half for all hours worked outside regularly sched- uled tour when an employee's tour changes with less than 4 days' notice. Time and one-half for all hours worked when an employee is given less than 1 day's notice to work an addi- tional tour. Time and one-half for time worked on Sunday. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 1 day per month of service to a maximum of 2 weeks to start, 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 18 years and 6 weeks after 25 years. Overtime: Time and one-half to start, double time after 4 hours of overtime. Sick leave: 8 days. Bereavement leave: 5 days for employee's spouse, child, father or mother. 3 days for employee's stepfather, stepmother, father- in-law, mother-in-law, brother, sister, dependant or any other employees residing with the employee. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years. Sample rates of pay (current, after 1.75% increase): Group 2: $11.95 per hour rising in 5 steps to $19.92 Group 3: $14.60 rising in 5 steps to $23.24 Group 4: $16.73 rising in 5 steps to $27.19 Group 5: $19.09 rising in 5 steps to $30.21 Group 6: $19.92 rising in 5 steps to $32.53 Editor's notes: Personal days: 4 paid days for employees with 5 years' seniority. EDUCATION Government of Yukon Territorywide (800 elementary and secondary teachers) and the Yukon Teachers' Association Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2015, to June 30, 2018. Signed on June 4, 2015. Wage adjustments: Effective July 1, 2015: 1.5% Effective July 1, 2016: 1.5% Effective July 1, 2017: 2% Medical benefits: Employer pays 75% of extended health premiums. Dental: Employer pays 85% of dental plan premiums. Sick leave: 7.5 hours for every calendar month for which 10 days' pay has been received, up to 75 hours per school year. LTD: Employer pays 75% of long-term disability premiums. Bereavement leave: 5 days for the serious illness, imminent death and/or death of a family member or person residing in employee's household. Up to 2 days for travel and an additional 2 days for travel outside Yukon. Seniority – recall rights: 2 years. Severance: First layoff: 10 days' pay for first year of service and 5 days' pay for each succeeding completed year of continuous employment, to a maximum of 150 days. Subsequent layoff: 5 days for each completed year of continuous employment, to a maximum of 145 days. Retire- ment: 5 times the full-time daily rate multiplied by the number of full-time completed years in employment to a maximum of 35 years. Mileage: Employees work- ing outside of Whitehorse can recover cost of 2 round-trips to Whitehorse at employer's current mileage rate. Some employees eligible for $2,242 Yukon Bonus travel benefit.
