Vacations with pay: 2 weeks to start or 4% pay, 3 weeks after 5 years or 6% pay. Meal allowance: $30 within Canada per day, $35 within U.S. Sick leave: 10 personal emer- gency leave days per year. Bereavement leave: 3 days for immediate family (father, mother, spouse, grandparents, grandchild, child, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in- law or common-law partner). Call-in pay: 4 hours' pay (for reporting to work, no work available). 4 hours or time and one-half, whichever is greater. Probationary period: 90 days worked. Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months. Tool allowance: Kleenex, paper towels, garbage can, extra gar- bage bags, broom, ice scraper in each bus. Mileage: $0.50 per kilometre. Sample rates of pay (calcu- lated by CLR): (current, after 6.9% increase): Probationary hourly rate: $16.28, rising in 3 stages to $17.41 (current, after 7% increase): Probationary day rate: $200, ris- ing in 3 stages to $214 (current, after 23.5% in- crease): Probationary line run day rate: $200, rising in 3 stages to $247. Editor's notes: Medical examinations: After 3 years of continuous service, any medical examination required to maintain driver's licence, the company will reimburse up $100. If examination is after working hours, $25 and at least 3 days' notice prior to the appointment. If examination is in another community, transportation is provided and hourly rate for hours involved. Credit/gas cards: All charter drivers shall have the option to use their own credit or gas cards and be promptly reimbursed upon return to the yard, with appropriate receipts. Right to bump: When a driver's work is cancelled, the company must contact the driver as soon as the cancellation is known and give them the opportunity to exercise their right to bump. Driver has 8 hours to bump lowest seniority driver, bottom up. Em- ployer meetings: 2 hours' minimum pay for mandatory meetings. TRANSPORTATION Calm Air International Churchill, Man. (9 customer service employees) and United Steelworkers Local 6166 Renewal agreement: Effec- tive Match 2, 2016, to April 30, 2018. Signed March 30, 2016. Wage adjustments: Effective May 1, 2015: 2.4% Effective May 1, 2016: CPI Na- tional average for previous year. Effective May 1, 2017: CPI Na- tional average for previous year (no less than 0%, not more than 2%). Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 3 weeks up to 14 years, 4 weeks up to 24 years, 5 weeks for 25+ years of service. Part-time, casual 6% paid, or option to accrue time. Overtime: One and one-half time for hours worked beyond 40 per week. Dental: Costs covered by em- ployer. Sick leave: 1 hour per pay pe- riod up to 24 hours per year. 24 hours of sick leave bank per year. STD: Costs covered by employ- ees. LTD: Costs covered by employ- ees. AD&D: Costs covered by em- ployees. Life insurance: Costs covered by employer. Pension: After one year, employer matches full-time employee contribution up to 5% of regular wages. Part-time workers can join after 2 years, providing they earn 35% of maximum pensionable earn- ings under the Canada Pension Act. Bereavement leave: 5 days for member of employee's immedi- ate family (spouse including common-law, children of the employee and/or spouse (in- cluding adopted, foster or ward children), parents (including spouse or common-law partner of parents), grandparents of the employee or spouse, broth- ers and sisters of employee or spouse, and other relatives permanently residing with the employee). Payment for up to 3 days of employee's scheduled shifts. Seniority – recall rights: 9 months. Probationary period: 6 months. Safety shoes: Full- and part- time $300 approved footwear. Casual $150 approved footwear. Uniforms/clothing: Company- issued clothing provided. $125 for snow pants. Sample rates of pay (current, after increase): Customer service agent: $16.02 rising by the CPI national aver- age each May 1 until 2017. Customer service supervisor: $20.77 rising by the CPI na- tional average each May 1 until 2017. Editor's notes: Northern living allowance: $200 for 120 hours worked each month or prorated for less than 120 hours. Humanity and education fund: 2 cents for each hour worked to the Steelworkers' Humanity Fund and the Steelworkers' Education Fund. Signing bonus: $300. Shift Bidding: Full-time employees can bid between 30 to 40 hours per week and shall not bid more than 40 hours per week. Overtime banking: Maximum 80 hours. Loyalty pay: 10 years $1 per hour; 15 years $2 per hour (retroactive to May 1, 2015, if employed as of March 2, 2016). Safety/health training: Effective Jan. 1, 2016, to April 30, 2018, employees on the OHS committee may take up to 2 days' paid edu- cational leave for safety and health training. Loyalty pay: 10 years $1 per hour; 15 years $2 per hour (retroactive to May 1, 2015, if employed as of March 2, 2016)
