Vacations with pay: 1 day for every 21.66 work days to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 19 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for any time worked greater than 40 hours in a week. Meal allowance: $8.50 or hot meal, if employee works more than 4 hours of overtime. Medical benefits: Company pays $0.20 per hour to benefit trust plan. Dental: Company pays $0.34 per hour to dental plan. Pension: Employees contribute 2.5% of regular earnings to pen- sion plan. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of immediate family member. Up to 2 additional days if funeral is more than 500 kilometres from place of residence. 1 day for death of grandparent-in-law, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' pay. Probationary period: 22 weeks for full-time employees, 880 hours for part-time employees. Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months. Safety shoes: Company pro- vides safety boots each year where required. Probationary employees not eligible for reim- bursement for 6 months. Uniforms/clothing: Company will provide laundered cooler coats, pants (shirts as required), aprons, rubber footwear, wet wear, mousetraps, knives, steels, scabbards, safety head gear, coveralls, mesh gloves, rubber gloves, hair nets, head shroud, beard nets, cotton gloves, freezer jackets. Winter boots and liners provided for workers in freezers and in ship- ping/receiving departments. Tool allowance: $300 every 6 months to replace own tools. Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after $1 per hour increase): General 1 classification: $12.60 per hour, rising in 3 steps to $13.60 per hour General 2 classification: $13.40 rising in 3 steps to $14.40 Semi 1 classification: $14.75 ris- ing in 3 steps to $15.75 Semi 2 classification: $15.75 ris- ing in 3 steps to $16.75 Skilled 1 classification: $17.05 rising in 3 steps to $18.05 Skilled 2 classification: $18.10 rising in 3 steps to $19.10 Sample rates of hourly pay (current): Third-class engineer: $33 Journeyman: $37.10 Chief engineer: $45.30 Second-class engineer: $40.20 Editor's notes: Knife sharpening: If the company does not designate an employee to be a knife sharpener on a shift, it will provide sufficient time off (with pay) during the shift for knife sharpening. Citizenship leave: Employees who have applied to become a Canadian citizen will be granted a 1-day unpaid leave to take oath of citizenship. Transla- tion: The company will pay for the cost of translating the collective bargaining agreement into Tagalog. Education, training fund: $0.13 per hour will be deposited in the Manitoba Food & Commercial Workers Local 832, Education and Training Trust Fund. TRANSPORTATION First Air Multiprovince (90 pilots) and Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2016, to Dec. 31, 2019. Signed on June 24, 2016. Wage adjustments: Effective 2016: 1.5% Effective 2017: 1.75% Effective 2018: 1.75% Effective 2019: 2.5% Shift premium: B737 ground or flight training: $135 per day. Line indoctrination: $95 per day. Line check: $135 per day. Airborne or simulator check: $195 per day. ATR ground or flight training: $115 per day. Line indoctrination: $90 per day. Line check: $115 per day. Airborne or simulator check: $165 per day. Effective Jan. 1, 2018, these amounts will in- crease by $5 per day. Paid holidays: 9 days. Meal allowance: Hourly meal allowances provide for flight crew members away from home base. Effective Jan. 1, 2016: $3.07. Effective Jan. 1, 2017: $3.12. Effective Jan. 1, 2018: $3.20. Effective Jan. 1, 2019: $3.25. US$100 per day for each day spent outside of North America. Dental: Employer pays 50% of premiums. Sick leave: 15 days per year. STD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Pension: Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan. Em- ployer contributes 2% in first year, 3% in second year, 4% in third year, 5% in fourth year. Bereavement leave: Uniforms/clothing: Company will provide to B737 crews: 1 blazer, 2 pants, 8 shirts, 1 flight suit, 1 pair of epaulettes, 2 ties. Company will provide to ATR crews: 2 flight suits, 1 pair insulated coveralls, 1 pair of ep- aulettes, 1 pair of windpants, I down vest. Employer, employee will share costs on 1 overcoat, 1 parka, 1 pair of windpants for B737 crews, and 1 parka for ATR crews. Sample rates of monthly pay (current, after 6% increase): Captains Level 1: $6,471 rising 3 steps to $6,867 Level 2: $6,898 rising 3 steps to $7,320 Level 3: $7,366 rising 3 steps to $7,817 Level 4: $7,865 rising 3 steps to $8,347 Level 5: $8,382 rising 3 steps to $8,895 Level 6: $8,952 rising 3 steps to $9,500 Level 7: $9,550 rising 3 steps to $10,134 Level 8: $10,187 rising 3 steps to $10,810 Level 9 (beginning in 2018): $10,915 rising 1 step to $11,188 B737 first officer Moving fees: Company will provide maximum $1,500 toward moving costs, maximum 15,000 pounds of freight costs.
