Vacations with pay: 1 day for every 208 hours worked to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 4 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 18 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after regu- lar time. Meal allowance: $7.50 for working 2 hours after end of shift. Vision: $175 every two years. Sick leave: Maximum 56 hours per year. 100% payout at end of year will be given provided em- ployee hasn't received a written warning about attendance. Pension: Teamsters' Pension Plan: Employer contributes 8% per hour, maximum 173 hours per month for workers earning $24 per hour or less. Employer contributes 7% per hour, maxi- mum 173 hours per month for workers earning $24 per hour or more. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, parents, child, brother, sister, grandparents, mother-in- law, father-in-law, brother-in- law, sister-in-law, grandparents- in-law, stepmother, stepfather, stepsister, stepbrother). 1 day if not attending a funeral. Seniority – recall rights: 9 months. Probationary period: 120 days. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months. Severance: 1 week for each year of service. Safety shoes: $110 per year, or $220 every 2 years. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide laundered uni- forms and aprons. Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 4.25% in- crease): Electrician: $36.86 rising 3 steps to $38.43 Millwright: $34.94 rising 3 steps to $36.43 Maintenance/boiler op: $32.01 rising 3 steps to $33.37 Chief engineer: $33.28 rising 3 steps to $34.70 Membrane/dryer operator: $30.08 rising 3 steps to $31.36 Membrane/dryer operator relief: $27.14 rising 3 steps to $28.30 Milk receivers/group 3: $26.43 rising 3 steps to $27.56 Group 4: $24.40 rising 3 steps to $25.44 Editor's notes: First-aid training: Employer will pay for costs of training and ensure trained employees are stationed in the plant. Licence pay: Company will pay for milk receiver's or pasteurizer's licence and any necessary upgrades to maintain the licence. TRANSPORTATION Air Canada Multiprovince (130 office employees) and International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Renewal agreement: Effec- tive April 1, 2016, to March 31, 2026. Signed on June 1, 2016. Shift premium: $200 per month for lead positions. Paid holidays: 8 days, plus 1 additional day (St-Jean-Baptiste Day in Quebec, floater in other provinces). 2 further general holidays, plus 5 paid leave days. Can be banked, maximum 24 hours. Each year on Aug. 1, employer will deposit 8 hours into employee's time bank. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Maximum $1,750 per person per year (previously $1,500). 50% reimbursement for orthodontics, maximum $2,500 lifetime coverage (previously $2,000). Vision: $250 every 2 years (pre- viously $225). Paramedical: $50 maximum per visit for chiropractic. Maxi- mum $500 per person per year, $1,000 per family per year. Sick leave: 1 day per month (previously 1 day every 2 months), maximum 72 days. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums, maximum $25,000 coverage. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums, maximum $50,000. 30-times monthly sal- ary, maximum $60,000. Pension: CPAL Pension Plan. Seniority – recall rights: 7 years. Probationary period: 6 months, minimum 126 days worked. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months. Severance: 1 week per year, maximum 20 weeks. Uniforms/clothing: $170 per year (previously $110 per year) for assistant coordinators, co- ordinators assigned to the mail room. Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after increase): Assistant coordinator: $12.07 rising 7 steps to $20.42 Coordinator: $12.36 rising 7 steps to $22.74 Senior coordinator: $15.31 ris- ing 7 steps to $24.78 Lump sum payments 2016: $5,000 2017: $4,500 2018: $4,000 Editor's notes: Union time off: Chief shop stewards in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver shall be provided with 8 hours per week to attend to union matters. Expenses: $65 per day for personal hotel expenses, which includes meals, gratuities, laundry, valet service. $10 per day if employee resides with relatives or friends in lieu of hotel. EDUCATION Western School Division Morden, Man. (120 workers, elementary and secondary teachers) and the Manitoba Teachers' Society Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2014, to June 30, 2018. Wage adjustments: Effective Sept. 2015: 2% Effective Sept. 2016: 2% Effective Sept. 2017: 1.5% Effective Jan. 2018: 1.5% Effective June 30, 2018: special adjustment of maximums for Class 4 ($500), Class 5 ($400), and Class 6 ($420) Vacations with pay: Teachers receive 1 day of paid leave per 50 hours of extra-curricular activities over 2 consecutive school years, to a maximum of 2 days per school year. Part-time teachers receive equivalent time off. Medical, benefits: Employer pays premiums. Dental: Employer pays premi- ums.
