For teachers with more than 1 year of employment, unused sick leave can be car- ried over to a maximum of 40 days in the second year, 60 days in the third year, 80 days in the fourth year, 100 days in the fifth year, 120 days in the sixth year, and 130 days in the seventh and subsequent years. Part time teachers received pro-rated sick leave based on full-time equiva- lents. STD: Employees pay premiums for short-term disability plan. LTD: Employees pay premiums for Manitoba Teachers' Society Disability Benefits Plan, admin- istered by employer. Life insurance: Employer and employees share cost of group life insurance plan, adminis- tered by employer. Student services administrator: $9,275 on top of base pay Editor's notes: Preparation time: Employees receive at least 180 minutes of preparation time per 6-day cycle for full-time employees. Leave of absence for executive duties: If a teacher is a member of the Manitoba Teachers' Society Executive Committee, maximum 6 day teaching days off to attend committee business. Leave for graduation/convocation: A teach- er may be absent from school for 1 day per year to attend her own (or child's or spouse's) graduation or convocation.
