Meal allowance: Meals reimbursed if working longer than 12-hour shifts. Medical benefits: CLAC Health and Welfare Trust Fund. To start: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50%. After employee has reached 1 year or 2,000 hours (whichever is less), the employer pays 100% of premiums. Dental: Basic services: 100% coverage, maximum $2,000 per person per year. Comprehensive: 50% coverage, maximum $2,000 per person per year. Orthodontic: 50% coverage, maximum $3,000 lifetime maximum per child younger than 19. Vision: $300 per year for child younger than 21. $300 every 2 years for older than 21. STD: 60% weekly earnings, maximum $600 per week. LTD: 60% weekly earnings, maximum $2,600 per month. AD&D: $100,000 coverage. Life insurance: $100,000 coverage. Pension: Employee may contribute $0.50 or $1 per hour into the retirement savings plan administered by the CLAC Health and Welfare Fund. Employer will match contributions, maximum $2,000 per year. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, child, legal dependant, parents, parents-in-law, legal guardian, brother, brother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren). Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours' pay. Probationary period: 60 days. Safety shoes: $100 per year for CSA-approved steel-toed boots. Tool allowance: Employer will provide all power tools. Basic tool list: hacksaw, hammer, rubber mallet, measuring tape, snips, set of screw drivers, glazing bar, tool box, safety harness and lanyard. Mileage: $0.49 per kilometre for work outside of Edmonton. Sample rates of hourly pay (current): Probationary/starter (50%): $18.58 First-year apprentice (60%): $22.90 Second-year apprentice (70%): $26.58 Third-year apprentice (80%): $30.48 Fourth-year apprentice 190%): $34.27 Journeyman glazier: $37 Editor's notes: Out-of-town work: For work outside of town, employer will provide room (for 2 people) and mini- mum $35 per day subsistence allowance. Prescription safety eyewear/hearing aids: The employer will reimburse an employee 50% of the cost of prescription safety eyewear or hearing aids up to $300. For the first reimbursement, employee must have worked 600 hours. For the second and all subsequent reimbursements, employee must have worked 4,000 hours. ENTERTAINMENT Woodbine Entertainment Group Toronto (90 security guards) and Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 2, BGPWU Security Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 4, 2016, to Dec. 31, 2018. Wage adjustments: Security guards Effective April 1, 2016: $0.17 per hour Effective April 1, 2017: $0.30 per hour Effective April 1, 2018: $0.40 per hour Advanced security guards Effective April 1, 2017: $0.55 per hour Effective April 1, 2018: $0.65 per hour Shift premium: $1.50 per hour when security guard has to direct or oversee another security guard. Paid holidays: 9 days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 18 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Meal allowance: Meals will be provided at cost (previously, employee paid $3 for light meal, $6 for full meal). Medical benefits: Employer will make monthly contributions to the Health and Welfare Trust. Single: Effective April 1, 2016: $104.43; Effective April 1, 2017: $106.52; Effective April 1, 2018: $110.78. Family: Effective April 1, 2016: $220.91; Effective April 1, 2017: $225.33; Effective April 1, 2018: $234.34. Weekly indemnity: 66 2/3% of weekly earnings, maximum 26 weeks. Sick leave: 6 hours per month. LTD: 66 2/3% or monthly wages, maximum $2,500, after 26 weeks. Pension: Woodbine Entertainment Group Defined Contribution Pension Plan for Unionized Employees. Employer contributes 5%, matched by employee. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (mother, father, brother, sister, spouse, same-sex partner, children, common-law spouse, grandparents, grandchildren, mother-in-law, and father-in- law). 1 day for death of brother- in-law, sister-in-law. Seniority – recall rights: 18 months. Probationary period: 480 hours. Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months. Safety shoes: $100 per year for full-time, $100 every 2 years for part-time. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide, clean and maintain uniforms and rain gear. Full- time: minimum 7 shirts, 3 pairs of trousers. Part-time: minimum 5 shirts, 2 pairs of trousers. Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 3.5% increase): Security guard: $19.50 rising 2 steps to $20.20 Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 6% increase): Advanced security guard: $20 rising 2 steps to $21.20 Editor's notes: Travelling allowance: $0.35 per kilometre if employee is required to use his own vehicle in connection with the employer's business. Bonding: Any employee whom the employer requires to be bonded will do so at the employer's expense.
