Wage adjustments: Effective April 1, 2017: 1.5% Effective April 1, 2018: 1.5% Shift premium: Vehicle calls: If bike courier handles call that are vehicle calls, premium of $5.75. Biker training: $40.25 per day. Owner-operator training: $63.25 per day. Trainee pay: $12.65 per hour. Paid holidays: 10 days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after regu- lar hours. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Dental: 100% for minor ser- vices, 50% for major services, maximum $1,500 per year. Vision: $100 every 24 months (every 12 months for depen- dants younger than 18). Sick leave: 1 to 5 years' service: 2 days per year. 6 to 10 years' service: 4 days per year. 11 years' service: 5 days per year. If not used within 12 months, em- ployer will reimburse employee 75% Life insurance: Basic coverage: $25,000. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of parent, spouse, brother, sister, child, stepchild, foster-child, parent-in-law, sis- ter-in-law, brother-in-law, legal guardian, grandparents, grand- children, nephews, nieces. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. 18 months if layoff is result of labour dispute with an- other company or employee has 5 or more years of seniority. Probationary period: 90 days. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months. Severance: 3 days' pay per year of service, if owner-operator has more than 2 years' service. Safety shoes: $100 every 12 months. Costs for collective bargaining: Employer will pay union $5,000 for time spent or remuneration lost, as part of union negotiating committee in renewal collective bargaining. Communication charges: $45 per month for owner- operators who are required to have communication equipment.
