(3 firefighters) and the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), Local 90940 Renewal agreement: Effective April 28, 2017, to June 30, 2019. Signed on April 28, 2017. Paid holidays: 9 days. Vacations with pay: 144 hours after 1 year. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regularly scheduled hours. Medical benefits: Employer pays 60% of premiums, employ- ee pays 40% of premiums. Dental: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums. Sick leave: 10 hours per month, maximum 288 hours. LTD: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for coverage of 66 2/3% of wages. Pension: Employer will match employee's contributions to pension plan, maximum 3%. Bereavement leave: 2 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law partner, parent, child, sister, brother, grandparent, grandchild, par- ent-in-law, relative/person with whom employee has experi- enced very close relationship). Additional time for travel will not be unreasonably withheld. Call-in pay: Time and one- half for all hours worked or minimum 3 hours, whichever is greater. Probationary period: 12 months. Discipline: Sunset clause is 30 months. Safety shoes: $200 per year for CSA-approved safety footwear. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide uniforms and re- place after normal wear and tear. Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 4% increase): New recruit: $42.25 rising 2 steps to $43.96 12 months: $44.25 rising 2 steps to $45.96 24 months: $46.25 rising 2 steps to $47.96 30 months: $46.82 rising 2 steps to $48.71 Editor's notes: Parking: Employer will provide parking with electrical plug-ins at no cost to employees provided employer receives same from Wabush airport. Northern allowance: Employees will be entitled to northern allowance benefit of $4,000 per year. Wage adjustments: Effective May, 8, 2016: 1.25% Effective May 14, 2017: 1.5% Effective May 13, 2018: 2% Effective May 12, 2019: 2.25% Effective May 17, 2020: 2.25% Shift premium: $0.85 per hour (previously $0.80 per hour) for work between 1 p.m. and 5 a.m. $0.85 per hour (previously $0.80 per hour) for work be- tween 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. $1 per hour for work on Sunday. $1 per hour for lead hands. $1.50 per hour above highest rate in de- partment for relief supervisors. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks af- ter 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 13 years, 6 weeks after 18 years, 7 weeks after 23 years. Effective May 13th, 2018: $0.45 per hour. Vision: $200 per person every 24 months. Paramedical: Massage therapy: $200 maximum per year, reim- bursed at 80%. Chiropractic/ physiotherapy: $250 maximum per year, reimbursed at 80%. Weekly indemnity: Coverage of 70% of weekly wage. Sick leave: 4 hours per month, maximum 208 hours. LTD: Coverage of 50% of week- ly earnings, maximum $1,800 per month (previously $1,400 per month). Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Pension: Employer will con- tribute $1.25 per hour into Can- adian Commercial Workers' Industry Pension Plan. Bereavement leave: 1 week for death in immediate family (spouse, parent, stepparent, child, brother, sister, mother-in- law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, daughter-in- law, son-in-law, grandmother, grandmother-in-law, grand- father, grandfather-in-law, grandchildren, any relative liv- ing in household of employee). 1 day for death of uncle, aunt, nephew, niece.
