3 Canadian HR Reporter, a Thomson Reuters business 2018 Shift premium: $1 for employ- ee who temporarily replaces supervisory employees on vacation or extended absence. $0.60 per hour when employee works on scheduled second shift. $0.80 per hour (previously $0.75 per hour) on scheduled third shift. $2 per hour for each hour worked on Sunday. $2 for hours worked between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Sunday and paid holidays. Paid holidays: 10 days, plus 3 additional days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 18 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 25 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per shift or 40 hours per week. Meal allowance: $7 for any employee working 10 or more consecutive hours in any 1 shift. Medical benefits: Post Foods Canada Inc. Health Care Plan. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Maximum $5,000 for dental services to repair natural teeth damaged as result of accident. 80% coverage for basic services, major restorative work, orthodontic treatment. $1,500 per person per year for basic and major, $2,000 lifetime maximum for orthodontics. Vision: $300 (including cost of eye exam) per person every 24 months for prescription contact lenses, eyeglasses, laser correc- tion surgery. Paramedical: $300 per prac- titioner per year for licensed physiotherapist, psychologist, osteopath, podiatrist, chiro- practor, naturopath, speech therapist. STD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for 75% of basic rate of pay, maximum 26 weeks. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for 67% of monthly salary, maximum $15,000 per month. AD&D: Employee pays 100% of premiums. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for 1 times annual salary coverage. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of sister, brother, mother- in-law, father-in-law, brother, sister-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren. 5 days for death of spouse, children, parents, stepparents. 1 day for death of grandparents-in-law, aunts, uncles. Seniority – recall rights: 6 months; 36 months after 2 years of service. Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours' pay at time and one-half. Probationary period: 90 days of work. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months. Discipline involving violence or harassment will remain in employee's file, maxi- mum 2 years. Safety shoes: $125 per year, may be carried over into follow- ing year. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will furnish and pay for all nec- essary work uniforms worn by employees. Uniforms will be laundered at employer expense. Tool allowance: $250 per year for purchase of tools (packaging mechanic, machinist and main- tenance repair, electrician, roll mechanic, utility mechanic).
