Medical examinations: For drivers who have completed 1 or more years of employment and who are required to take government physical or medical examinations for vehicle operator's license, employer will reimburse driver full cost of examination. Wash-rate: Edmonton-based employees, in classifications earning more than $30 per hour, will be paid $30 per hour for time spent washing tractor units. Training rate: Employees in classifications earning more than $30 per hour will be paid $30 per hour for orientations performed anywhere other than client's job site, training, and safety meetings. Subsistence allowance: $150 per night (previously $200 per night) for employee who remains away from place of domicile. $65 per night for employee who remains away from place of domicile and employer supplies lodging. LOGISTICS Syncreon Canada Oshawa, Ont. (240 warehouse workers) and Unifor, Local 222 Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 1, 2017, to Feb. 1, 2020. Signed on Feb. 1, 2017. Shift premium: $1 per hour for union chairperson. $0.50 per hour (previously $0.75 per hour) for work on midnight shift. Paid holidays: 8 statutory paid holidays, plus 4 non-statutory paid holidays. Additional days corresponding to GM produc- tion schedules during Christ- mas holiday period. Vacations with pay: 4% to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked beyond 8 hours per day, or on Satur- day. Double time for all hours worked on Sunday, except when time worked on Sunday is part of Monday midnight shift or Saturday afternoon shift. Dental: $2,000 maximum with 80-20% co-pay. 50% coverage with 80-20% co-pay for major restorative services, bridges, crowns, dentures, caps (ex- cludes orthodontic coverage). Vision: Maximum $85 every 24 months for eye exams. Maxi- mum $300 every 24 months (previously $200 every 24 months) for frames, lenses. Paramedical: $400 per year per employee for physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage therapy. AD&D: Equal to 50% of basic life ($12,500). If accidental death occurs while on company business, additional benefit of $12,500 will be paid. Life insurance: $25,000 cover- age. Pension: Employee contributes 2% (previously 1%) to RRSP, employer matches and contrib- utes 2% (previously 1%). Bereavement leave: 4 days for death of mother, father, spouse, child, stepparent, brother, sis- ter, grandchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparent, stepchild, son-in-law, daughter- in-law; provided such days fall within 10 working days of death. 2 days for death of sister- in-law, brother-in-law, steppar- ent of current spouse, stepsister, stepbrother, grandparent of current spouse; provided such day falls within 10 working days of death. 1 day for death of aunt, uncle; provided such day falls within 10 working days of death. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months with less than 1 year of seniority, 36 months after 1 year of seniority. Call-in pay: Minimum of 4 hours' pay. Safety shoes: Employer will supply production employees with insoles on annual basis if work cells do not have matting.
