(35 inside, outside workers) and the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE), Local 955 Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2018, to Dec. 31, 2020. Ratified on March 6, 2018. Signed on April 13, 2018. Wage adjustments: Effective Jan. 1, 2018: 2.5% (retroactive if required) Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 1.5% Effective Jan. 1, 2020: 2.5% Shift premium: $1 per hour for work after 4:30 p.m. and before 8 a.m. on weekdays. $1 per hour for work between 4:30 pm Friday to 8 a.m. on Monday. $1 per hour for entire shift when scheduled before 8 a.m. or after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. $1.50 per hour for each full shift — maximum 15 working days — when employee is temporarily assigned to position with higher rate of pay. $1 per hour for operator 1, foreman - certified pesticide/herbicide applicator. $1 per hour for certified play- ground inspectors. Paid holidays: 12 days, plus 1 Christmas floater day. Vacations with pay: 15 days to start, 20 days after 6 years, 25 days after 16 years, 30 days after 26 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regular hours. May be banked, maximum 80 hours per year. May be taken as time off, but will be paid out if not taken by end of year or after 80 hours is reached. Sick leave: 1 day per month, maximum 120 days. Pension: Employer will make required contributions under Local Authorities Pension Plan. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (current spouse, common-law spouse, parent, parent of spouse, grandparent, grand- parent of spouse, grandchild, child, brother, sister, brother- in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law). Seniority – recall rights: 9 months. Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours' pay at overtime rate. Probationary period: 90 days. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will annually provide cover- alls to employees: 3 pairs for mechanics; 2 pairs or 1 pair and 1 arena jacket to arena employees; 2 pairs for other employees. Employer will pro- vide work gloves as appropriate for assigned tasks. Employer will provide $800 per year (previously $600 per year) for safety clothing, safety footwear, personal protective equipment (PPE) and specific-event cloth- ing needed to perform duties. Tool allowance: Employer will provide secure place for storage of mechanic's tools. Mechanic's tools damaged or stolen will be replaced at no cost to employee.
