On 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 35th, 40th and 45th year of service, employees will receive additional lump-sum of 5 days' vacation leave. Overtime: For schedule B employees: Time and one-half for first 3 hours after 8 hours per day, double time thereafter. Time and one-half for first 8 hours on Saturday, double time thereafter. Double time for all work on Sunday. For schedule A employees: Time and one-half for first 3 hours after 7 hours per day, double time thereafter. Time and one-half for first 7 hours on Saturday, double time thereafter. Double time for all work on Sunday. May be banked, maximum 20 days per year. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Medical Services Plan of British Columbia, single, couple or family coverage. Dental: 90% reimbursement for diagnostic/preventative, restorative, periodontics; maximum $5,000 per year for denture, bridge, crown, endo- dontic. 50% reimbursement for orthodontic, lifetime maximum $3,500. Vision: 80% reimbursement, maximum $500 every 24 months (previously $400 every 24 months). Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 75% of gross earn- ings, weekly maximum benefit of $1,300. Sick leave: 10 days. LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 67% of employee's annual salary, monthly maximum of $5,000, based on a 2-year own occupa- tion definition of disability. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $100,000. Life insurance: Coverage of $100,000. Pension: Employee will be covered by superannuation or pension plan under the Pension (Municipal) Act. Bereavement leave: 1 week for death in immediate family (parents, spouse, common-law spouse, common-law children, common-law parents-in-law, brother, sister, child, stepchild, grandparent, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandpar- ent-in-law, grandchild). Seniority – recall rights: 18 months. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' pay or time and one-half, whichever is greater. Probationary period: 680 hours for outside employees, 595 hours for inside employees. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months. Severance: 2 weeks' pay after 1 year of service, additional week of pay for each year of service, maximum 8 weeks' pay, after 3 years of service. Safety shoes: $300 per year for safety footwear. Aquatic work- ers are excluded from benefit. $200 per year when footwear has been damaged to point of not being suitable for work for employees who have protective footwear exposed to corrosive materials which include (but not limited to): calcium chlor- ide, salt-mix, asphalt and con- crete. $120 per year for employ- ees who instruct aqua-fit class for pool-deck safety footwear; $70 per year for employees who do not instruct aqua-fit class. Uniforms/clothing: Employees assigned to jobs where ordinary clothing is not adequate will be provided with goggles, slickers, high-rubber boots, waders, plastic gloves, hard hats and liners. Employer will provide swimsuit, rash guard, shorts, pair of goggles, swim cap for aquatic centre employees. Tool allowance: $400 per year to each mechanic, mechanic/ welder.
