7 Canadian HR Reporter, a Thomson Reuters business 2018 CANADIAN LABOUR REPORTER COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS NATURAL GAS Enbridge Gas Distribution Provincewide, Ontario (650 technicians, maintenance, drivers, construction, administrative employees) and Unifor, Local 975 Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2017, to Dec. 31, 2019. Ratified on July 26, 2017. Signed on July 13, 2017. Paid holidays: 10 days. Vacations with pay: 15 days to start, 20 days after 10 years, 25 days after 20 years, 30 days after 30 years. Maximum 2 weeks may be carried over. Addition- al 8 floater days (previously 7 floater days), plus 1 more effect- ive Jan. 1, 2019. Meal allowance: Employees who work 3 or more hours will be paid amount equal to 35% of operations technician 1 rate for meal and each successive 4 hours for meal. Effective Jan. 1, 2019: $13.91. STD: Less than 1 year of ser- vice: Full pay for 6 weeks, 60% pay after 20 weeks. 1 year to 5 years of service: Full pay for 6 weeks, 60% pay after 20 weeks. 5 years to 10 years of service: Full pay for 13 weeks, 60% after 13 weeks. 10 years of service: Full pay for 26 weeks. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (brother, sister, spouse, parents, parent-in-law, child, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, other relative living in home of employee). 1 day for death of aunts, uncles, brother- in-law, sister-in-law. Seniority – recall rights: 24 months. Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours' pay. Probationary period: 3 months. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years. Severance: 2 weeks' pay per year of service, maximum 52, minimum 6 weeks. Employees who are 50 or more at time of layoff, will be entitled to addi- tional 8 weeks of pay. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide service for clean- ing or repairing uniforms or employer will provide clothing cleaning allowance of $2.50 per week. Employer will also make washer and dryer available at each depot. Tool allowance: Employees will be supplied with replace- ment of necessary tools, worn out, broken or lost doing com- pany work. $600 per year (pre- viously $500 per year) for auto mechanic/heavy-equipment tool allowance. Justice fund: Employer will contribute $27,040 per year to Unifor Social Justice Fund. Overnight expenses: Employer will compensate employee who stays out of town on business $80 (previously $75) per stay.
