for all hours worked between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Paid holidays: 12 days. Vacations with pay: 1.25 days for every 2-week period of em- ployment up to 15 days to start; 1.66 working days for every 2-week period of employment up to 4 weeks after 1 year; 2.08 working days for every 2-week period of employment up to 5 weeks after 8 years. Maximum accrual of 37.5 days. Overtime: Time and one-half for hours in excess of 44 hours per week, hours worked be- yond regularly scheduled shift due to staffing emergency, and all hours on statutory holiday — except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day, which are double time. Employees required to work non-scheduled shift on statuto- ry holiday receive double time, except for Christmas Day, Box- ing Day and New Year's Day, which are triple time. Up to 40 hours can be banked instead of receiving pay. Meal allowance: $16 for lunch; $21 for dinner for employees transporting clients who are unable to bring box lunch from facility. In emergency situa- tions or when in-town support- ing situations such as hospital stays, up to $46 if on assign- ment for 12 hours. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for ex- tended health insurance plan. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums for dental plan. Sick leave: 5.54 hours of paid sick leave for every 2 weeks of active employment, up to 720 hours accumulation (previ- ously 12 hours per month). Employees may use up to 40 hours (5 days) of accumulated sick leave per year to care for immediate family members who are ill. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for LTD plan with inflation protection. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for plan. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for group life insurance plan. Pension: Youth Services YSB Pension Plan Bereavement leave: 5 paid days in 7-day period for death of romantic partner, child, parent, sibling. 3 paid days in 5-day period for death of grandparents, partner's par- ents, partner's sibling, partner's grandparents. Seniority – recall rights: 24 months. Call-in pay: 1.15 hours added to comp bank for each day on call. 10% pay for each 24-hour period on call for short-term. 4 hours pay for statutory holiday on call. Probationary period: Lesser of 720 hours worked or 6 months from start date. 12 weeks trial period for employ- ees who obtain new position in bargaining unit. Severance: 2 weeks for em- ployees with less than 2 years' service; 3 weeks for service of 2 to 3 years; 4 weeks for 3 to 4 years' service; 8 weeks for 5 or more years of service. Mileage: $0.45 per kilometre for employees using own ve- hicles with authorization of employer. Paid at regular work for hours outside their predetermined hours. Employee protection: Employer will provide legal representation to employees who are charged under Criminal Code of Canada or sued civilly for reasons arising out of conscientious performance of authorized duties. TRUCKING Jack Cooper Transport Canada Montreal (2 dispatchers, clerks) and Teamsters Quebec, Local 106 Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2022. Signed on Aug. 14, 2019. Shift premium: $0.55 for all worked hours on shift, except for shift starting between 6 a.m. and noon. Paid holidays: 8 days plus 3 Christmas period days, day before New Year's Day. Em- ployees will receive 4 floating holidays (this including sick or personal days that govern- ment could grant), which must be taken in each contract year (benefit will end on June 30, 2022). Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 20 years, 7 weeks or 14% after 25 years. If more time is required for any reason concerning death, leave of absence without pay will be given by employer. Seniority – recall rights: 180 calendar days for employees who are promoted to supervi- sory positions or to positions not subject to agreement; 24 months for layoffs. Probationary period: 60 working days in any consecu- tive 6-month period. Severance: Employer will pay highest of 2 days' salary, at regular wage rate and for regular worked hours for each year of employment or 5 days' salary, at regular wage rate and for regular worked hours. Safety shoes: Caretakers will be reimbursed 100%, upon presentation of receipt for safety footwear. Uniforms/clothing: Shop coats will be provided for dis- patchers when required.
