Em- ployees that change classifica- tion will be paid $0.15 less per hour for first 60 days in new classification) Editor's notes: Medical examination: All employees will promptly undergo any medical examination required by employer who will pay costs of examinations. If examinations is required after working hours, employee will receive $15 and receive notice of at least 3 working days before appointment. Shift premium: $8 per hour for general foreman. $6 per hour for foreman. $3 per hour for lead-hand. $1 per hour for steward. $1.25 per hour for steward with tool box 1. $1.50 per hour for steward with tool box 2. $1.75 per hour for steward with tool box 3. $2.50 per hour for chief steward with tool box 2. $3 per hour for chief steward with tool box 3. $3 per hour for night shift (ma- jority of hours between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.). $1 per hour when employee is in possession of 2 tickets (tickets must appear in classification table). Paid holidays: Employees will receive 4% of hourly wage rate for all hours worked as holiday pay in lieu of following gen- eral holidays: New Year's Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Vic- toria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanks- giving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day. Vacations with pay: All employees will receive 6% of base hourly rate for all hours worked as vacation pay on each pay period. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 straight- time hours per day or 40 straight-time hours per week (32 hours per week when stat- utory holiday occurs during employee's regular workweek). Meal allowance: Employees not scheduled in advance to work more than 12 hours in 1 day will be provided 1 meal by employer. Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $1.82 per hour into CLAC Health and Welfare Trust Fund. Dental: Basic services: 100%, maximum $2,000 per person per year; comprehensive: 50%, maximum $2,000 per-person per year; orthodontic: 50%, maximum $3,000 lifetime maximum per child younger than 19. Vision: $300 per year for child younger than 21; $300 every 2 years for all person covered older than 21. STD: 60% of weekly basic earnings, maximum $600 per week (benefits payable after first day of accident or hospi- talization; 14th day of illness, maximum 119 days). LTD: 60% of weekly basic earnings, maximum $2,600 per month (benefits payable after 119 days). AD&D: Coverage of $100,000. Life insurance: Coverage of $100,000. Pension: Christian Labour As- sociation of Canada (CLAC) Group RSP and CLAC pension plan, administered by CLAC Group RSP Board of Trustees, applies to all employees cov- ered by collective agreement. Employer, employee will make matching contributions of 1% into pension plan (employees may opt-out). Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of spouse, common-law spouse, child, father, mother, legal dependant, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother, sister, grandparents, grandchildren. Further time may be granted by mutual agreement between employer and employee. Call-in pay: Minimum of 2 hours of pay at prevailing hourly rate. Probationary period: 90 cal- endar days. Employees who have passed probationary period, and are rehired within 6 months after layoff, will not re-serve new probationary period. Safety shoes: All employees will wear CSA-approved safety boots supplied by employees. Uniforms/clothing: All em- ployees will wear approved safety hats supplied by em- ployer. Employer will supply employees with safety equip- ment such as gloves, hearing protection, safety glasses, shields, goggles, fire-retardant coveralls, raingear, particulate masks, breathing apparatus, fall-arrest equipment, if re- quired. Tool allowance: Specialty, power tools will be provided by employer.
