Paid holidays: 12 days. Vacations with pay: 3 weeks or 6% after 1 year, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years. Overtime: For 8-hour shift em- ployees: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week or on Satur- day. Double time for all work on Sunday (if Sunday is scheduled day off ). May be banked, maxi- mum 96 hours. Meal allowance: Hot meal and beverage when employee works more than 2 hours beyond nor- mal shift and every additional 4 hours thereafter. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Al- berta Health Care coverage. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Basic dental, major restorative: 100% coverage, combined maximum $4,000 per year. Orthodontic: 50% coverage, maximum $2,000 per insured individual. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $350 every 24 months per insured family member. Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums for cov- erage of $700 per week, maxi- mum 52 weeks. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $1,850 per month, reduced by amount employee receives from WCB. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $100,000. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $50,000. Pension: Employer will con- tribute 7% (minimum $5,000 per year), employer will con- tribute minimum 0.5% into pension plan, which consists of DC plan and group RRSP. Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate fam- ily (spouse, mother, father, mother-in-law, father-in-law, daughter, daughter-in-law, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in- law, sister, sister-in-law, grand- mother, grandfather, grand- daughter, grandson). Seniority – recall rights: 6 months. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' pay for 8-hour shift employees or 6 hours' pay for 12-hour shift employees. Probationary period: 480 hours worked. Severance: 100 hours' pay at rate of classification. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide protective cloth- ing for welders whenever such clothing is required (gloves, aprons, arc air hoods). Employ- er will provide on loan-basis wet suits, rubber gloves, safety glasses, dust masks, ear plugs or muffs, safety belts, by-product and protective footwear. Tool allowance: Employer will provide all tools such as pick, shovel, saw, axe. Employer will provide drill bits, files, emery cloth, wire brushes, hacksaw blades for journeypersons, un- certified tradespersons. $2.25 per hour for heavy-equipment technicians, millwrights, in- strument mechanics, automo- tive service technician, electri- cians, apprentices (group 1) on 8-hour shifts; $3 per hour for same on 12-hour shifts. $1.50 per hour for welders, machin- ists, servicepersons, appren- tices (group 2) on 8-hour shifts; $1.90 per hour for same on 12- hour shifts.
