Life insurance: Employee pays $0.15 per $1,000 and employer pays balance of premium cost. Pension: Canadian Airports Council Pension Plan DB plan available only to employees who transferred from Transport Canada on May 1, 2001; DC plan for all other employees who transferred from Transport Canada on May 1, 2001 at their option; employees who were employed with Transport Can- ada prior to May 1, 2001 have option of leaving accrued pen- sion in Public Service Pension Plan, provided through Public Service Superannuation Act. Bereavement leave: 7 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, stepfather, step- mother, foster-parent, brother, sister, spouse, fiancé, child, child of spouse, stepchild, ward of employee, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparent, great-grandparent, grandchild, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, relative residing in employee's household). Additional 3 days for travel related to death. 1 day to attend funeral as pallbearer. Safety shoes: $150 per year to be paid every January for full- time employees. Employer will provide all protective airport rescue firefighting gear, as re- quired by NPFA (National Fire Protection Association) and CSA standards. Mileage: $0.50 per kilometre when employer requested; $0.15 per kilometre when em- ployee requested, for travel on employer business.
