Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 1 times annual salary. Pension: Employer will con- tribute $1.10 per hour (previ- ously $1.05 per hour) to Team- sters Local Union 987 Pension Fund on behalf of employees. Maximum 173 hours per month, 2,076 hours per year. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, common-law spouse, child, stepchild. 3 days for death of parent, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother- in-law, grandparent, com- mon-law-grandparent. If em- ployee requires additional time off to attend or arrange funeral, employer will consider unpaid leave upon written request from employee. Seniority – recall rights: 3 months if employee's security clearance is revoked by Trans- port Canada and is due to em- ployee's indiscretion; 12 months for layoff or due to illness or accident. Probationary period: 90 days worked. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months; 24 months for disci- plinary measures that were im- posed due to negligence; safety violations involving motor vehicle and aircraft. Severance: After 5 years of ser- vice: 1 week's pay; after 6 years of service: 2 weeks' pay; after 7 years of service: 3 weeks' pay; after 8 years of service: 4 weeks' pay; after 9 years of service: 5 weeks' pay. Safety shoes: $110 per year (previously $100 per year) for company-approved safety footwear for all employees in flight kitchen, commissary (footwear will be condition of employment and must al- ways be worn on duty). $135 per year (previously $125 per year) for employees who wear protective-toed safety boots. If employee foregoes allowance in 1 year, twice allowance will be available in following year. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide uniforms, hats, hairnets. Employer will pro- vide winter parkas, pants to employees who work outside in inclement weather. Employer will provide 2 pairs of shorts for employees in trucking depart- ment who wish to wear shorts during summer months.
