3 Canadian HR Reporter, a HAB Press business 2019 Saturday and Sunday for regu- larly scheduled shift. Paid holidays: 11 days, plus 1 flex day (after 1 year of service). Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 2 years, 4 weeks after 6 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 6 weeks after 20 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 7.25, 7.5 or 8 hours per day or after 37.5 or 40 hours per week; double time after 4 hours of overtime. May be taken as time off in lieu; may be banked, maximum 50 hours. Any banked overtime accumu- lated prior to Dec. 1 of any year must be scheduled to be taken prior to Dec. 1 and taken prior to Dec. 31 of that year or it will be paid out. Medical benefits: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employ- ee pays 25% of premiums. $500 for health spending account which meet CRA requirements. Dental: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums. Sick leave: 1.5 days per month, cumulative maximum 85 days credit. STD: Employee pays 100% of premiums. LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums. Life insurance: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums. Pension: Alberta Local Author- ities Pension Plan. Bereavement leave: 4 days for death of parent, guardian, wife, husband (including com- mon-law), brother, sister, child, grandparent, grandchild, moth- er-in-law, father-in-law, brother- in-law, sister-in-law. 7 days when burial occurs outside province. 1 day leave without pay to attend funeral as pallbearer. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for layoffs; 6 months for appointment to position outside scope of agreement; 24 months for ab- sence from work due to illness or accident. Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours of pay at applicable overtime rate for all hours worked for each call-in. Probationary period: 6 months. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for disciplinary warning or reprimand, in writ- ing; 24 months for disciplinary suspension without pay. Severance: 1 week's pay after 3 months of service; 2 weeks' pay after 2 years of service; 4 weeks' pay after 4 years of ser- vice; 5 weeks' pay after 6 years of service; 6 weeks' pay after 8 years of service; 8 weeks' pay after 10 years of service. Safety shoes: $150 per year for CSA-approved safety foot- wear to each employee who is required to wear such footwear and who has demonstrated need for new safety footwear. Employee will be allowed to accumulate amount for up to 2 years. Uniforms/clothing: Employ- ees working in unsanitary or dangerous job will be supplied with all safety equipment, pro- tective clothing when needed. $100 per year for swim suits to each employee who is required to wear a swim suit and who has demonstrated a need for a new swim suit. All employees in public works, recreation and parks departments will be issued maximum 2 sets of regular coveralls and 1 set of insulated coveralls per year. Coveralls will be replaced on as-needed basis, up to previ- ously defined maximums per year. $150 per year for employ- ees in facilities department, Handibus drivers, who need rainwear or inclement-weath- er clothing and are required to wear such clothing. All community peace officers will be issued 3 shirts, 3 pants, 1 cap, 1 duty belt, 1 winter hat, 1 all-season jacket, 1 pair of boots, 1 body armour, 1 pair of handcuffs and pouch, 1 baton and holder, 1 pepper spray and holder. All bylaw enforcement officers will be issued 3 shirts, 3 pants, 1 all-season jacket, 1 pair of boots, 1 body armour, 1 cap, 1 winter hat.
