(95 operators, maintenance employees) and the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union (USW), Local 1-207 Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2019 to Dec. 31, 2021. Ratified on April 10, 2019. Signed on April 10, 2019. Shift premium: $1.50 per hour for lead-hands. $1 per hour for hours worked during afternoon shifts. $1.50 per hour for hours worked during night shifts. $0.25 per hour for employer- designated first-aid personnel. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 1 day per month, maximum 10 days, to start, 3 weeks or 6% after 1 year, 4 weeks or 8% after 5 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 17 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 25 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for work on Saturday or plant holidays, while on 8-hour shifts; double time after 4 hours of overtime, on Sundays. Time and one-half for all work in excess of regular daily hours; double time after 2 hours of overtime, while on 10-hour shifts. Time and one-half for first 8 hours worked on first scheduled day off; double time thereafter. Dental: 90% reimbursement for preventative. 80% reimbursement for endodontics, periodontics. 70% reimbursement for dentures, denture repair. 70% reimbursement for crown, bridges. Vision: Coverage of $400 per employee or dependant over 2-year period with no carry- over. STD: Coverage of 66 2/3% of weekly equivalent of annual maximum insurable earnings. LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 66 2/3% of earnings AD&D: Coverage of 1-times annual earnings, maximum $1,000,000. Life insurance: Coverage of 1-times annual earnings, maximum $1,000,000. Pension: Employer will contribute $3.05 per hour (previously $2.90 per hour) into group RRSP. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (wife, husband, common-law spouse, mother, father, children, stepchildren, stepparents, brother, sister, grandparents, grandchildren, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparents- in-law). Employer may approve unpaid time off, maximum 1 day for death not in immediate family. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months to start; 24 months after 1 year of service; 30 months after 5 years of service; 36 months after 8 years of service. Call-in pay: Time and one-half, minimum 3 hours' pay. Probationary period: 600 hours worked in 12 consecutive months. Safety shoes: Employer will reimburse actual costs for safety boots, maximum $200, after 6 months of service. All employees are required to wear approved protective footwear when working at plant. Employees who do not own safety boots will be required to buy safety boots. 1-year carryover for any unused boot reimbursement. Based on 1 pair for inside employees; 2 pairs for maintenance employees; 1 summer, 1 winter pair for employees who work full-time in yard (4 consecutive months). Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide hard hats and liners for winter, mitts and liners, lined gloves and unlined gloves, rain gear, steel-toed rubber boots (replacement on exchange basis with fair wear and tear), safety glasses, hearing protection for outside use; hard hats, 2 types of masks (dust and respirator), rubber gloves, unlined gloves, safety glasses, rain suit for acid booth, hearing protection for inside use.
