(2,500 security guards) and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), Transportation District 140 Local Lodge Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2021. Signed on Jan. 18, 2019. Wage adjustments: Effective September 2018 (fol- lowing ratification): 2.25% Effective March 31, 2019 (fol- lowing ratification): 2.25% Effective April 5, 2020 (follow- ing ratification): 2.5% Shift premium: 5% of wage rate of level 3.4 for team leaders. $2.35 per hour on the wage rate of level 3.4 for former point leaders who are considered grandfathered. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% af- ter 8 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 13 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 18 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 40 hours per week. Meal allowance: $10 for em- ployee working more than 3 unscheduled overtime hours that are contiguous (extension) to shift. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for health and welfare plan. Sick leave: 8 days per year. Em- ployees hired after Jan. 1 in any year, will for that year, accumu- late sick days at rate of 1 day for each 3 months worked. Days will not be eligible to be carried over from 1 year to next Pension: Employer will con- tribute $1.05 per hour (pre- viously $0.95 per hour) per employee to pension fund. Effective April 1, 2020: $1.10 per hour. Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate family (mother, father, husband, com- mon-law spouse, wife, children, sister, brother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, grandparents). Additional 7 days, without pay, to attend funeral if funeral occurs outside 700 kilometres radius of em- ployee's normal work location. Seniority – recall rights: 18 months, if employee has more than 18 months of seniority or period equal to seniority if employee has 18 or less months of seniority. 120 days in 1 year if employee leaves Toronto airports and works at another airport in Canada as Garda employee for pre-board secur- ity screening services (CATSA contract). 90 days in 1 year if employee works in acting management position. Call-in pay: If employee books off for shift and is called in to work, employee will only receive overtime rate once em- ployee has exceeded 40 hours for week. Probationary period: 90 days after obtaining certification or 180 days after orientation, whichever comes first. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide all parts of uniform which it requires employees to wear such as provided by CATSA (Canadian Air Trans- port Security Authority) such as uniforms, Garda pins. Those parts of uniforms provided at employer's expense will remain property of employer. Employer will pay $15 per month (as of month immediately after sign- ing of collective agreement) to each employee for dry cleaning. Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 7.2% increase): L1: $20.33 rising 3 steps to $21.79 L3.1: $22.75 rising 3 steps to $24.37 L3.2: $23.17 rising 3 steps to $24.83 L3.3: $23.60 rising 3 steps to $25.29 L3.4: $24.01 rising 3 steps to $25.73 Team leader: $25.21 rising 3 steps to $27.02 Grandfathered point leader: $26.36 rising 3 steps to $28.08 $2,000 lump-sum payment (previously $800) for full-time employees, $1,000 for part-time employees (previously $400), to all active employees within 30 days of notice of ratification. Editor's notes: Parking: Employer will pay cost of parking at airport for employees. If employee elects to have park- ing pass, employer will cover 50% of monthly cost, employee will cover 50% of monthly cost, or employee may elect to be reimbursed by employer for amount equal to 50% of cost of monthly parking pass for transit pass issued by city transport. Employees hired prior to ratification, who wish to surrender GTAA (Greater Toronto Airports Authority) parking card, will be paid $56.25 per month by employer as of month following surrender of parking card. Education- al fund: Employer will contribute $0.15 per hour per employee to educational fund. DAIRY PRODUCTION Saputo Dairy Products Edmonton (297 production employees) and Unifor, Local 445 Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2019 to April 30, 2024. Ratified on July 30, 2019. Signed on Oct. 3, 2019. Shift premium: $1.50 per hour (previously $1.45 per hour) for all hours worked during evening shifts (6 p.m. until 6 a.m.) $1.50 per hour (previously $1.45 per hour) for all hours worked on Saturday, Sunday. $1 per hour (previously $0.90 per hour) for all hours worked be- tween 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Fri- day, Saturday, Sunday. $1.20 per hour (previously $1 per hour) for lead-hands in recognition of additional responsibilities to direct (train, relieve, related administration) and oversee ac- tivities of specific work unit. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks af- ter 1 year, 3 weeks after 4 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 17 years, 6 weeks after 24 years. Employees will take vaca- tion during year in which they are entitled to it and there will be no carry over. Overtime: Time and one half for all hours worked in excess of Pension: Employer will contribute $1.05 per hour per employee to pension fund. Effective April 1, 2020: $1.10 per hour.
