Meal allowance: $7.50 for em- ployees who work more than 2 hours after regular scheduled shift. Medical benefits: Effective first of month following 960 hours worked per 12-month period, employees will be entitled to full health, welfare benefits as provided by employ- er. Employer pays 100% of prov- incial coverage premiums. Dental: Coverage of 80% for basic services; 50% for major restorative. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $250 every 2 years (previously $225 every 2 years), $50 every 2 years (previously $35 every 2 years) for eye exams. Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 60% of weekly base rate for up to 26 weeks, max- imum $635. Sick leave: 40 hours per year. Employee who works complete previous calendar year and did not receive warnings regarding attendance that year, will re- ceive payout of 100% of unused sick leave; employee who works complete previous year, and did not receive warnings regarding attendance that year and who has not used any sick leave will receive payout of 125% of un- used sick leave. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 60% of weekly base rate. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 1 times base annual wage. Pension: Employer contrib- utes $2.28 per hour, employee contributes $2.01 per hour to pension trust fund. Effective May 1, 2020: Employer contrib- utes $2.32 per hour, employee contributes $2.07 per hour. Effective May 1, 2021: Employ- er contributes $2.35 per hour, employee contributes $2.13 per hour. Effective May 1, 20222: employer contributes $2.40 per hour, employee contributes $2.22 per hour. Effective May 1, 2023: Employer contributes $2.45 per hour, employee con- tributes $2.32 per hour. Bereavement leave: 3 days, if employee is scheduled to work, for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law partner, parent, stepparent, child, step- child, brother, sister, grandpar- ent, grandchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law). Additional 2 days, without pay, may be given if funeral is more than 350 kilo- metres away (consideration will be given for travel time). 1 day, if employee is scheduled to work, for death of brother-in-law or sister-in-law. Seniority – recall rights: 6 months to start; 12 months af- ter 10 years of service. Probationary period: 45 work- ing days from date of hiring. Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months. Severance: 1 week's pay for each year of service for em- ployee who is permanently laid off due to discontinuance of operation or lack of work; 1 week's pay for each year of service, maximum 15 years, for employee in department affected by permanent lay-offs who would not otherwise lose employment. Safety shoes: Employer will reimburse employees $110 on first pay period following May 1 each year (or $220 for 2 years) for employer-approved safety footwear. Uniforms/clothing: All deliv- ery personnel will wear only employer-approved uniforms which will be maintained in clean and presentable condition at all times. Annual entitle- ment for full-time employees is jacket, 4 shirts, 2 pairs of pants. Winter parka will be supplied by employer once every 2 years. Employer will provide suitable cold-weather clothing for those required to work in yard and cooler.
