Double time for all hours worked on a Saturday or Sunday for shop employees. Paid holidays: 11 days. Time and one-half for all hours worked on a named holiday for drivers. Double time for all hours worked for shop em- ployees. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year of service, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 15 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of 9 per day or 45 per week for drivers. Time and one-half for first 2 hours of overtime in ex- cess of 8 per day, double time for all hours worked after that for shop employees. Bereavement leave: 3 days, plus 1 if travel is required, for the death of an immediate family member. That includes spouse, mother, father, son, daughter, stepson, stepdaugh- ter, sister, brother, mother-in- law, father-in-law, grandfather, grandmother, brother-in-law or sister-in-law. Stepfather and stepmother recognized, pro- vided they are employee's legal guardians. Seniority – recall rights: 6 months. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' pay. If employee works more than 4 hours, they will be guaranteed 8 hours' pay. Probationary period: 3 months. Mileage: South of the 60th parallel: 41¢ per mile for sleeper teams, 39¢ per mile for single-man team. North of the 60th parallel: 44¢ per mile for sleeper teams, 42¢ per mile for single man team. Effective Jan. 1, 2014. Sample rates of pay, current: Bed tandem driver: $32.64 per hour Cherry picker: $34.63 Lowboy/highboy: $29.84 Swamper: $22.44 Winch tractors: $31.98 Heavy duty mechanic: $42.78 Foreman: $42.78 Welder: $39.31 Apprentice mechanic: $24.19, rising after 3 years to $36.29 Trailer mechanic: $35.57 Apprentice trailer mechanic: $21.34, rising after 2 years to $24.90 Editor's notes: Accommodation allowance: $120 per night when employee is required to stay overnight at a job site, unless camp facilities are available. Union advancement fund: 5¢ per hour per employee paid by employer into the Teamsters' union/industry advancement fund. TRANSPORTATION ABF Freight System Burnaby, B.C.
