Hearing aids: $500 per year for purchase, maintenance and repair of hearing aids. TRANSPORTATION Canada Cartage System Vancouver (16 truck drivers) and Teamsters Canada, Local 31 Renewal agreement: Effective June 29, 2017, to Dec. 31, 2020. Signed on June 22, 2017. Shift premium: Any work per- formed on a sixth or seventh shift by Home Depot driver covered by collective agreement will be paid premium of $5 per hour for all hours worked, maximum cumulative 45-hour total of work week. $1 per hour for lead hand. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 10 days or 4% to start, 15 days or 6% after 5 years, 20 days or 8% after 11 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work in excess of 60 hours per week for highway drivers; 9 hours per day or 45 hours per week for city drivers; 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week for cross-dock employees. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Canada Cartage Benefit Plan. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. STD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Pension: Teamsters National Pension Plan. Employer will contribute $0.45 per hour. Ef- fective Jan. 1, 2019: $0.50 per hour. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate fam- ily (spouse, mother, father, son, daughter, sister, brother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, stepsons, stepdaughters). Seniority – recall rights: 12 months, 18 months after 5 years' service. Probationary period: 60 days. Discipline: Sunset clause is 15 months. Safety shoes: $150 per year for safety boots. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will pay $275 per year for uni- form ordered from company- designated supplier. Employer will supply 6 pairs of gloves per year. Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 4$ increase): Class 1: $22.78 rising 3 steps to $23.70 Class 3: $20.93 rising 3 steps to $21.78 Class 5: $20.32 rising 3 steps to $21.14 Sample rates of mileage pay (current, after increase): 300 to 400 miles per stop: $0.50 rising 3 steps to$0.52 Over 400 miles return: $0.49 rising 3 steps to$0.51 300 to 400 miles per stop/over 400 miles return drop rate: $17 per stop $350 signing bonus after ratifi- cation Editor's notes: Medical examination: Driver with 1 or more years of seniority who is required under motor vehicle regulations to undertake physical examination as condition of continuing to hold valid licence will have cost paid by employer, maximum $100. Industry fund: Employer will contribute $0.05 per hour to Teamsters Local Union No. 31 Industry Advancement Fund. GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION Government of Canada Multiprovince (5,510 scientific workers) and the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) Renewal agreement: Effective May 15, 2017, to Sept. 30, 2018. Signed on May 15, 2017. Shift premium: $2 per hour for each hour worked — including overtime hours — between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. $1 for all hours worked between 11 p.m. and 7 a..m by MT shift-work em- ployee. $2 per hour for all hours worked — including overtime hours — on Saturday or Sunday. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 9.375 hours per month to start, 12.5 hours per month after 8 years, 13.75 hours per month after 16 years, 14.4 hours per month after 17 years, 15.63 hours per month after 18 years, 16.88 hours per month after 27 years, 18.75 hours after 28 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for the first 7.5 hours, double time thereafter. Meal allowance: $12 when working more than 3 hours of overtime, where free meals are provided. Sick leave: 9.38 hours per month. Additional 1.25 hours per month for shift workers. Bereavement leave: 7 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, stepfather, step- mother, foster-parent, brother, stepbrother, sister, stepsister, spouse, common-law partner, child, child of common-law partner, stepchild, foster-child, ward of employee, father-in- law, mother-in-law, grandchild, grandparent, relative residing in employee's household). 3 ad- ditional days for travel. Call-in pay: The greater of: minimum 3 hours' overtime pay, maximum 8 hours' pay or overtime rate for all hours worked. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years. Severance: On first layoff, 2 weeks' pay; 3 weeks' pay for employees with 10 or more and less than 20 years of employ- ment; 4 weeks' pay for employ- ees with 20 or more years of employment, plus 1 week's pay for each additional year of em- ployment. On second or sub- sequent layoff, 1 week's pay for each year of employment. Sample rates of annual pay (current, after increase): Step 1 AC-01: $67,205 rising 2 steps to $68,896 Employer will pay $275 per year for uniform ordered from company-designated supplier.
