COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS normal or special work day or before normal or special work day (unless at least 1 hour's notice has been given). If em- ployee chooses not to eat meal or completes work before eat- ing meal, one-half hour of pay will be given. Employees who are called in for overtime and work more than 4 hours are also eligible for allowance. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Medical Services Plan of B.C. and major medical insurance plan. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 80% for basic dental services (plan A); 50% for prosthetics, crowns and bridges (plan B); 50% for orthodontics (Plan C), lifetime maximum $6,000 (previously lifetime maxi- mum $5,000). Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $150 per person (previously $120 per person) for eye ex- amination; $600 (previously $500) for lenses and frames, contact lenses, laser eye sur- gery in any 24-month period. Sick leave: 1.5 days per month, maximum 175 days. 16.5 hours per month, maxi- mum 1,166 hours for group 3 employees. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $100,000. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $100,000. Pension: Municipal Pension Plan. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse (includes common-law spouse), child, stepchild, parent, stepparent, sibling. 3 days for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law, parent-in-law, grandparent, grandchild. One-half day to attend funeral as pallbearer. Seniority – recall rights: Period equal to lesser of 18 months or length of service for layoffs. Call-in pay: Hours will be deemed overtime with mini- mum 2 hours' overtime pay. Probationary period: First 60 days worked for full-time employees; first 480 hours worked or 2 years, whichever comes first, for all other em- ployees. Uniforms/clothing: All em- ployees working in any dirty or dangerous capacity will be supplied with all necessary working tools, safety equip- ment, protective clothing. All regular employees will re- ceive $200 per year work wear allowance; $150 per year for part-time instructor/guards who are not regular employ- ees but who are package hold- ers. All other employees will receive annual allowance of $0.10 per hour (paid out by Jan. 30 of each year). Tool allowance: $100 per year for carpenters, mechan- ics.
