Wage adjustments: Effective March 2, 2021: $0.20 per hour up to $0.35 per hour based on job title as off-scale increase Effective June 1, 2022 (lump sum for all hours worked since June 1, 2021): $0.15 per hour up to $0.25 per hour based on job title Shift premium: $1 per hour for each hour worked between midnight and 7 a.m. or other 7-hour period mutually agreed by both parties. $1 per hour for employees who commence shift between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. $1 per hour for each hour worked on Sunday. $1 per hour for employees designated as lead-hand. $1 per hour for all hours worked in assignment when employees are required by employer to relieve excluded manager for more than 2 con- secutive days in 1 week. $1 per hour when customer service specialist or senior specialist is absent from department and department specialist is desig- nated by employer to prepare saleable merchandise order. $0.25 per hour for employee who: is required by employer to hold valid first-aid certificate (OH&S regulations, WCB, other reasons); or is active member of store's occupational health and safety committee. $1 per hour when scheduled for 32 hours or more per week or $0.50 per hour when scheduled for less than 32 hours or more per week at Fort McMurray stores. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 13 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 18 years, 7 weeks or 14% after 23 years for employees hired on or before Dec. 14, 2020. 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 13 years for employees hired after Dec. 14, 2020. Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 7.5 hours in 1 day; double time after 2 hours of overtime. Time and one-half for work after 37.5 hours per week; 5 days in 1 week; after 7 consecutive days worked (could be over more than 1 calendar week). Time and one-half for work inside 10 hours between shifts. Vision: Coverage of $300 per person (for employees hired on or before July 18, 2006) every second year for purchase or repair of prescription lenses or frames (employee's child younger than 14 will have ben- efit in each calendar year as long as there is change in pre- scription). Paramedical: Maximum $500 per year for part-time employ- ees; $700 per year for full-time employees (for employees hired on or before July 18, 2006). Sick leave: 3.5 hours per full month of employment, maxi- mum 208 hours. Employees who have sick-bank balance greater than 90 hours on each Oct. 31 will receive, upon re- quest, cash payout, maximum 42 hours, provided balance does not fall below 90 hours. STD: Coverage of 70% of straight-time weekly earning (with benefits) beginning on fourth to sixth day of absence due to sickness or non-occupa- tional accident, maximum 26 weeks (for employees hired on or before July 18, 2006). LTD: Coverage of 50% of monthly earnings at time of initial disability, maximum $1,400 per month (for employ- ees hired on or before July 18, 2006). Life insurance: Coverage of $25,000. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (spouse, child, brother, sister, mother, father, stepchild, step- mother, stepfather, stepbrother, stepsister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandmother, grandfather, grandchildren, any relative living in household of employee). Seniority – recall rights: 24 months for employees pro- moted out of bargaining unit. 1 year with less than 1 year of seniority; 2 years after 1 year of seniority, for layoffs. 3 quar- ters of now work (January to March; April to June, July to September; October to Decem- ber) when employee is not on approved leave. Call-in pay: 4 hours of pay at regular hourly rate (except secondary school students on school days); minimum 3 hours of pay for secondary school students. Probationary period: 500 hours of work or first six months, whichever occurs first. Uniforms/clothing: When employer requires employee to wear smocks, ties, aprons, em- ployer will provide and repair smocks and aprons free of cost. Employees will be permitted to wear sweaters provided they conform to employer's dress- code policy.
