Casual employees share cost of plan 50/50. Bereavement leave: Up to 3 consecutive paid working days for death in immediate family. Up to 2 of the days can be used for deferred ceremonies within 1 year following initial leave. As of Jan. 1, 2018, leave will be 5 consecutive paid working days for death in immediate family and 3 consecutive working days for death in extended family. 1 day for death of close friend. 1 additional day may be granted for funeral outside of the city. Safety shoes: Cost shared on 50/50 basis to maximum of $150 per year for CSA-ap- proved safety footwear.
